TOMS Art of Giving Tour

I was recently invited to customize some TOMS shoes and create a complimenting piece of art for a group exhibition that ran (and just ended) in the Little Green Gallery. Each artist was asked to write a few brief words on what giving means to them. My work had a musical theme, because I think it's one of the greatest gifts one could give/share/absorb/experience! There was also a silent auction for the work on display and all the proceeds went towards Fighting Blindness Ireland

Earth Combustion

This is a piece I donated for the SCOOP Art Auction & Exhibition 2012. The show opened on the 26th September and will run until the 14th of October, when the actual auction will take place. "This year, we are raising funds to build our next school in Varanasi, India. It is in fact going to be brand new Educational Village, where the children can live, learn and develop away from life on the streets. It will also be completely self-sustained and environmentally friendly" 30cm x 30cm digital print on nice paper.

Summer Lightning Visuals and Mix

These are the visuals I made recently for Temple Bar Gallery's annual fundraiser "Summer Lightning 3". The images I animated were a combination of Copyright free stuff that I dug out online and magazine scans. The 36 minute video was projected onto the bands during the night. I also made an audio mix to compliment the visuals which itself is a spacey journey through soundscapes, electronic sounds and beats including Flying Lotus, Lapalux, Teebs, Kuhn, Lone, Kuedo, Mount Kimbe, Plaid, Sunken Foal, Hunter S Thompson and more. Big thanks to Barry Lynch for technical help when it came to learning the basics in After Effects! Enjoy

Hanna Hats Illustration

These were out before Christmas but I'm only getting around to posting this now, sorry! This is an illustration I did for Bluefingers who teamed up with Hanna Hats of Donegal, to release this as another limited edition product to add to their ever expanding collection. The silk lining is screenprinted using their fish friendly inks and the hats are available from their online shop in two styles - Vintage and Flatcap. You can find me parading around town, showing off the inner lining, sporting the Flatcap style.
